After completing a Professional Gemmology Course in Italy, Franco came to Australia in 1960 as a qualified watch and jewellery maker. He worked at Simpsons Jewellers in Melbourne for eight years before opening his own store in Elizabeth Street in 1968, which then became one of Melbourne's most reputable and well-known jewellers for over 35 years. Franco Jewellers specialises in quality hand-made jewellery and SWISS watches.

Franco's major roles within the business include, finance, accounting, purchasing loose diamonds and gemstones overseas each year as well as minor watch repairs.

Prior to the opening of Franco Jewellers, Elizabeth Street store in 1968, Connie completed a embroidery diploma at the College of Santa Giovanna Adida in Italy. She then travelled to Australia, where she met Franco and was married. Connie plays a key role in the family business as she personally selects all jewellery goods in Italy every year at the Annual Trade Fair. Owner and designer of all Franco Jewellers stores, Connie has been a highly respected figure within the jewellery industry for over 33 years.

Connie specializes in all jewellery purchases and is HEAD visual merchandiser. Connie also works full-time in all stores assisting customers with queries, sales and service.

Silvana, the first child of Franco and Connie, grew up in family business and began helping out in store from the age of eight. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree (Social Science) at La Trobe University, Silvana began working full-time in the Franco Jewellers business in 1988. At the age of 23, Silvana took on a managerial role selling, ordering goods and organizing repairs.

Silvana is the staff co-coordinator of Franco Jewellers. She hires staff and organizes weekly rosters including visual display for every season when jewellery arrives from Italy. Silvana specializes in finance, accounting and orders.

Daniela, daughter of Franco and Connie also grew up in family business and began serving customers in store from a very young age. Daniela completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Legal Studies at La Trobe University before taking on a full-time managerial role in the company in 1993. For the past 10 years, Daniella has performed duties such as selling, ordering goods, and organizing special customer requests.

Daniela specialises in advertising, public relations and marketing. Daniela also organizes all promotional activities for Franco Jewellers.
