FINE JEWELLERY COLLECTION
HORSEBIT COLLECTION
The Horsebit first gained prominence in 1953 when it adorned Gucci’s classic loafer, recalling the riding world of high society and aristocracy in Florence. The motif has since evolved into the bold hardware found on handbags and shoes, prints on canvas handbags and silks, watches and most recently, in Gucci’s Fine Jewelry collection. The Horsebit is now universally considered synonymous with the glamour associated with Gucci.
Reworked in a contemporary style by Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini, the Horsebit takes on softly sensual shapes, perfectly adapting to a jewelry form.
The Gucci Horsebit bracelet in 18 karat yellow gold won the Vogue Spagna award for jewelry (Vogue Joyas) in the class The Designer and Its Jewels, a tribute to the success of Gucci jewelry.
