A legacy that began in Italy 57 years ago is today a centrepiece of the Melbourne jewellery community.
1949 saw the birth of the Franco Jewellers family legacy; it was in that year that Franco first embarked upon the trade, undertaking a professional gemmology course. Eager to migrate to Australia, and with government work the only way to gain entrance, Franco accepted a contract building the railways in Ballarat, Victoria.

Franco Jewellers had their official opening of their Collins St store on 13th August 2003. The Hon.(Cr.) Lord Mayor John So conducted the Grand Opening.
